This Privacy Policy explains how KFE collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you use our platforms (kfeagritech.co.zw, kfemarket.co.zw, linkszim.co.zw, innovation.kfe.co.zw) and related services. It is written to comply with the Cyber and Data Protection Act [Chapter 12:07] of Zimbabwe and aligned with international best practice.
1. What personal data we collect
- **Account data:** phone number, password (stored securely), and any name or email address you choose to provide.
- **Listing and content data:** titles, descriptions, prices, photos and contact details you publish in listings, profiles and messages.
- **Usage data:** pages visited, searches, device and browser information, and approximate location derived from your activity.
- **Communications:** messages you send us, including support and takedown requests.
- **Cookies and trackers:** see our Cookie Policy.
We collect only what is needed to run the Platforms (data minimisation).
2. Why we use your data and the lawful basis for each purpose

We do not sell your personal data.
3. Consent
Where we rely on your consent (for example, marketing messages), it is specific, freely given, informed and unambiguous: given by a clear affirmative action such as ticking an unticked box, never assumed from silence or pre-ticked boxes. You may withdraw consent at any time, free of charge, and withdrawal is as easy as giving it.
4. Who we share your data with
- **Other users:** information you choose to publish (listing details, public profile, contact number on listings) is visible to the public.
- **Service providers** who help us operate the Platforms (hosting, email, analytics), under contracts that require them to protect your data and use it only on our instructions.
- **Authorities** where required by law or court order.
- We do **not** transfer your data outside Zimbabwe except where a service we use is hosted abroad; in that case we rely on your consent (given in this Policy) and contractual safeguards with the provider.
5. How long we keep your data
We keep your data only as long as needed: for the life of your account plus a reasonable period afterwards for legal and security purposes; listings you delete are removed from public view promptly. Backups are rotated on a fixed cycle.
6. Your rights
Under the Cyber and Data Protection Act you have the right to:
- **be informed** about how your data is used (this Policy);
- **access** your personal data and how it is processed;
- **rectify** inaccurate data;
- request **erasure** of data that is false or misleading, or where there is no legitimate reason to keep it;
- **object** to processing, including direct marketing, at any time;
- not be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing.
To exercise any right, contact info@kfe.co.zw. We will respond as promptly as we can. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Authority (POTRAZ).
7. Children
Our Platforms are for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has registered, contact us and we will remove the account and its data.
8. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data: encrypted connections, access controls, and limited staff access. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach occurs that risks your rights, we will notify the Authority within 24 hours and affected users within 72 hours, as the law requires.
9. Photos and other people's data
If you upload photos or contact details of other people, you confirm you have their consent. Images of identifiable people are personal data under the law.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be announced on the Platforms and the "Last updated" date revised. Continued use after the changes take effect means you accept them.
